On 26/10/16 the Council made Orders under Section 62 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 for the purpose of permitting various Parades/Marches and Events on the following dates and locations. The Orders will temporarily prohibit all vehicular traffic and all waiting and loading on both sides of the following lengths of road:- (1) 6/11/16 – Perthshire Amber The Dougie MacLean Festival = Boat Brae – A923 Bridge Street/Atholl Street, Dunkeld; (2) 13/11/16 – Remembrance Day Parade, Pitlochry = A924 Atholl Road, Pitlochry; (3) 26/11/16 – Kinross Christmas Light Switch-on and Market = High Street and Muirs, Kinross; (4) 26/11/16 – Blairgowrie & Rattray Christmas Light Switch-on and Parade = A926/A93 Rattray Church – High Street – Boat Brae – Wellmeadow, Blairgowrie; (5) 27/11/16 – Stanley Christmas Light Switch-on = Perth Road, Stanley; (6) 3/12/16 – Perth Lantern Parade = St Ninian’s Cathedral – North Methven Street – South Methven Street – High Street – King Edward Street – St John’s Place – Kirkside, Perth; (7) 24/6/17 – Orange Order Parade = Tulloch Road – A85 Crieff Road – A912 Dunkeld Road – Barrack Street – A989 Atholl Street – North Methven Street – High Street – Scott Street – South Street – Tay Street, Perth; and (8) 21/8/17 – Orange Order Parade = A923 Atholl Street – High Street – Cathedral Street, Dunkeld. Pedestrian thoroughfare and emergency access will be maintained. An alternative route is not available.
