On 7 January 2019 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on carriageway patching works) on Glen Fyne Road, Cumbernauld from its junction with Glen Moriston Road to Craighalbert Roundabout by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Alternative routes: Vehicles on the west side of the closure wishing to access the east side of the closure should proceed eastwards on Glen Fyne Road and north eastwards on Eastfield Road.

Vehicles on the east side of the closure wishing to access the west side of the closure should proceed vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

Vehicular access will be maintained, via banksmen at junctions during the closure.

Bus routes may be affected.

The Order will come into operation at 0930 hours on Monday, 21 January 2019 and will remain in operation until 1800 hours on Sunday, 3 February 2019.
