On 12 November 2018 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on Annual Christmas Light Event) on Kenilworth Avenue, Wishaw from the extended line of the of the north eastern kerb of A721 Main Street north eastwards to the extended line of the south western kerb of Library Road by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Alternative routes: Vehicles on the south west side of the closure wishing to travel to the north east side of the closure should proceed north westwards on A721 Main Street, north eastwards on Dryburgh Road, south eastwards on Kitchener Street then south westwards on Kenilworth Avenue to the north east side of the closure.

Vehicles on the north east side of the closure wishing to travel to the south east side of the closure should proceed vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

The Order, which will only be operational when displayed by signs, will come into operation at 0001 hours and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Saturday, 1 December 2018.
