On 8 October 2018 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on Scottish Water Network Upgrade Works) on Park Drive, Newmains from the extended west kerbline of A73 Westwood Road, westwards for a distance of 50 metres or thereby by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Alternative routes: Vehicles on the east side of the closure wishing to access the west side of the closure should travel southwards on A73 Westwood Road, westwards on Newton Drive and north westwards then north eastwards on Park Drive to the east side of the closure.

Vehicles on the east side of the closure wishing to access the west side of the closure should travel vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 22 October 2018 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Sunday, 26 November 2018.
