On 6 August 2018 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on bridge works) on the undernoted roads by reason of works being executed on or near those locations.

Closure 1

The south side of the overbridge on Seafar Roundabout, Cumbernauld from its junction with the south bound on slip road to the A8011 Glasgow Road to its junction with the north bound off slip road from A8011 Glasgow Road.

Alternative routes: Vehicles on the south side of the closure wishing to access the north side of the closure should proceed on Slip Road 1, A8011 Glasgow Road, link road from A8011, Back O’Hill Roundabout, link road to A8011, A8011 Glasgow Road and Slip Road 2 to the north side of the closure.

Closure 2

The north side of the overbridge on Seafar Roundabout, Cumbernauld from its junction with the north bound on slip road to A8011/B8039 Janes Brae to its junction with the south bound off slip road from A8011 Glasgow Road.

Alternative routes: Vehicles on the north side of the closure wishing to access the south side of the closure should proceed on Slip Road 3, A8011 Central Way, Town Centre West roundabout, A8011 Central Way and Slip Road 4 to the south side of the closure.

Pedestrian access will not be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 20 August 2018 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Sunday, 4 November 2018.
