On 9 July 2018 2018 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on carriageway resurfacing works) on the undernoted roads by reason of works being executed on or near those locations.

Phase 1

Westfield Drive, Cumbernauld from its junction with Westfield Road to its junction with Craigside Road.

Alternative routes: via Westfield Drive and Westfield Road.

 

Phase 2

Westfield Drive, Cumbernauld from its junction with Craigside Road eastwards to a distance 20 metres or thereby from its junction with Inchwood Road.

Alternative Routes: via Westfield Drive and Westfield Road.

Vehicular access will be permitted, where practicable, during the closure.

These works will be phased and appropriate signage will be in place advising drivers of the restrictions during each phase of the closure.

The Order, which will only be operational when appropriate signage is in place, will come into operation at 0800 hours on Monday, 23 July 2018 and will remain in operation until 2000 hours on Friday, 3 August 2018.
