On 19 February 2018 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to proceed on foot (with the exception of pedestrians engaged on footbridge refurbishment) on the unnamed footbridge, Cumbernauld from a point 47 metres or thereby south of Tiree Court to a point 22 metres or thereby north of Waverley Crescent by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Alternative Routes: Pedestrians on the north side of the footbridge should proceed westwards on the footpath, southwards under the underpass then eastwards on the footpath to the south side of the footbridge.

Pedestrians on the south side of the footbridge should proceed vice versa.

The Order will come into operation at 0900 hours on Monday, 5 March 2018 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Saturday, 31 March 2018.
