On 5 February 2018 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on installation of a new drainage system) on the undernoted locations by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Phase 1

Berryhill Road, Cumbernauld from its junction with Seafar Road north westwards for a distance of 103 metres or thereby.

Alternative Routes: Vehicles on the south east side of the closure wishing to travel to the north west side of the closure should proceed north eastwards on Seafar Road, northwards on Lairds Hillsouth westwards on Braeface Road then Berryhill Road to the north west side of the closure.

Vehicles on the north west side of the closure wishing to travel to the south east side of the closure should proceed vice versa.

Phase 2

Berryhill Road, Cumbernauld from a point 103 metres or thereby from its junction with Searfar Road north eastwards for a distance of 110 metres or thereby.

Alternative routes: Vehicles on the south west side of the closure wishing to travel to the north east side of the closure should proceed south eastwards on Berryhill Road, north eastwards on Seafar Road, northwards on Lairds Hill then south westwards on Braeface Road to the north east side of the closure.

Vehicles on the north east side of the closure wishing to travel to the south west side of the closure should proceed vice versa.

These works will be phased with no two closures taking place at the same time.

The Order, which will only be effective when displayed by signs, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 19 February 2018 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Sunday, 10 June 2018.
