On 27 November 2017 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 16A of the Roads Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on filming works) on Quarry Street, Coatbridge from the junction with Agnew Avenue, south westwards for a distance of 50 metres or thereby by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Alternative Routes: Vehicles on the south side of the closure wishing to access Agnew Avenue on the north side of the closure should proceed south westwards on Quarry Street, north westwards on Muiryhall Street East, north eastwards on Lavelle Drive and south eastwards on Agnew Avenue to the north side of the closure.

Vehicles on the north side of the closure wishing to access the south side of the closure should proceed vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times during the closure.

The Order, which will only be operational when displayed by signs, will come into operation at 0930 hours until 1500 hours each day from Tuesday, 12 December 2017 and will remain in operation until Sunday, 17 December 2017.
