On 11 September 2017 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on the Construction of a New Road and Cycle Track) on B819 Westerhill Road, Bishopbriggs from the extended line of the northern kerb of Wester Cleddens Road, northwards then westwards for a distance of 544 metres thereby to the boundary with East Dunbartsonshire Council, by reason of works being executed on or near that location.

Alternative routes: Vehicles on the south side of the closure wishing to travel to the north west side of the closure should proceed north westwards then south westwards on Wester Cleddens Road, south westwards on Crosshill Road, north eastwards on A803 Kirkintilloch Road and eastwards then south eastwards on Westerhill Road to the north west side of the closure.  

Vehicles on the north west side of the closure wishing to travel to the south side of the closure should proceed vice versa.

Pedestrian access will not be maintained. 

This Order, which continues the restrictions currently in place by virtue of a similar Order made by the Council on Monday, 27 March 2017 and will come into operation at 1800 hours on Sunday, 1 October 2017 and will remain in operation until 1800 hours on Sunday, 25 February 2018.
