(Temporary Closure) Order 2017
The North Ayrshire Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 and of all other enabling powers, hereby makes the following Order :-
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE- LONG HILL, SKELMORLIE.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
Northbound traffic should proceed via – Shore Road (A78), Station Road, Skelmorlie Castle Road.
Southbound traffic should proceed via – Shore Road (A78), Eglinton Terrace, Eglinton Gardens, Skelmorlie Castle Road.
Access to Emergency Services will be maintained throughout the closure.

(Temporary Closure) Order 2017
STATEMENT OF REASONS
It is considered necessary to make the above Order due to Footway Improvement works.
EXTENT AND DURATION
Long Hill, Skelmorlie, from its junction with Shore Road (A78) to its junction with Skelmorlie Castle Road is to be closed to traffic under the terms of Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act, 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act, 1991. Restriction to be in duration from 09:15 hours to 16:00 hours (weekdays only) each day from Monday 20th February to Friday 3rd March 2017 or until works are complete, whichever is the earlier. Access to emergency vehicles will be permitted.
The Order will apply to the specified roads at the above times as indicated by appropriate traffic signs, cones or under the instruction of a police officer in uniform and the effect will be to impose temporary restrictions on use.
