The Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate power mains installation by Scottish Power the full length of U64 Cauldcoats Road, Danderhall will be closed. The Order which has a maximum duration of 18 months has effect from 13 June 2017 and it is expected that the work will take about 6 weeks to complete. Alternative routes for pedestrians and general vehicular traffic will be via Millerhill Road, The Wisp, Newcraighall Road and Whitehill Road.
