The Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate road maintenance works, the full length of the B6458 from A68 to B6367 at Tynehead will be closed Monday to Friday between 8.00AM and 3.30PM. The Order which has a maximum duration of 18 months has effect from 20 February 2017 and it is expected that the work will take about 6 weeks to complete. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes for general vehicular traffic will be via the B6367, A7, B6372 and the A68.
