PROPOSED INSTALLATION OF ROAD HUMPS, MIDLOTHIAN

Mayfield, Loanhead, and Penicuik.

In accordance with the terms of Section 3 of The Road Humps (Scotland) Regulations 1998, notification is given that Midlothian Council proposes to construct sinusoidal road humps at the following locations:

B6482, Suttieslea Rd, Mayfield. Two road humps on the B6482, one 30m either side of the junction with Blackcot Drive (leading to Newbattle Medical Practice).

A768 The Loan, Loanhead. Two road humps on the A768 The Loan, one 50m west and one 40m east of the junction with McNeill Avenue.

Foundry Lane, Loanhead. One road hump on Foundry Lane next to McTaggart Scott’s pedestrian entrance.

Bog Road North, Penicuik. One road hump in Bog Road North, approximately 100m north of Craigiebield Crescent.

The humps on B6482 north-east of Blackcot Drive and on Foundry Lane would be a maximum of 100mm high, with sinusoidal ramps 1.85m long either side of a 2.4m wide flat top, and kerb-to-kerb. The other humps would be a maximum of 75mm high, 3.7m long and have tapered edges

Details may be examined from 25 January to 26 February 2017 inclusive, during normal opening hours at Midlothian House, Buccleuch Street, Dalkeith;

Mayfield Library, 1 Stone Avenue, Dalkeith; Loanhead Library, George Avenue, Loanhead; Penicuik Library, The Penicuik Centre, Carlops Road, Penicuik. 

Any person wishing to object to the proposed installations should send details of the grounds of their objection in writing to The Legal Services Manager, Midlothian Council, Midlothian House, Buccleuch Street, Dalkeith, Midlothian EH22 1DN to arrive not later than 26 February 2017.
