The Midlothian Council in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Section 14(1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Constable hereby make the following temporary Order:

 This Order may be cited as The Midlothian Council (Burnbrae Road, Hopefield, Bonnyrigg) (Temporary Waiting Restrictions) Order 2016 and shall come into operation on 3 February 2016. The Order is expected to be in place until 2 August 2017.

 Waiting is prohibited on:-

1. Burnbrae Road      (both sides) – from its junction with Littlewood Grove to a point 10m or      thereby west of its junction with Bannockrigg Road including the school      access
2. Bannockrigg Road      (both sides) – from its junction with Burnbrae Road for a distance of 10m      or thereby

These restrictions are necessary to prevent parked cars hindering buses passing in opposite directions and to keep parked cars clear of the pedestrian crossing point on the side road.
