The Midlothian Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is that for a temporary period to facilitate building demolition and rebuilding works, Newbyres Crescent between Gore Avenue and Hunter Square will be closed. The Order which has a maximum duration of 18 months has effect from 19 November 2015 and is expected to be in place for 18 months. Pedestrian access will be maintained. Alternative routes for general vehicular traffic will be via Gore Avenue, Hunterfield Road and Hunter Square.
