NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT The East Renfrewshire Council propose to make an order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will introduce a 50mph speed limit on that section of the A727 East Kilbride Road, Busby between the existing 30mph restriction, approximately 50m southeast of the main built up area of Busby, and the existing 50mph restriction at the boundary with South Lanarkshire Council, a distance of 340m or thereby. The order will make it an offence for any person to drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 50mph on that section of road. 

Details of the proposal which will form the “The East Renfrewshire Council (A727 East Kilbride Road, Busby) (50mph Speed Limit) Order 20[**]” together with a map and a statement of reason for proposing to make the Order are included in the attachment below.

Any person may make representation or submit an objection to the proposal either by e-mail (preferred) to: parking@eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk or in writing to: Chief Officer (Legal and Procurement), East Renfrewshire Council Headquarters, Rouken Glen Road, Giffnock, G46 6UG

All objections must be received by 31 March 2021 and must state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.
