(Temporary Restriction to Use of Road)
Order 2021
On the 22 January 2021 the Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The Order authorises a right turn ban from the junction of Water Road into Main Street Barrhead.
The restriction is considered necessary in order to maintain safety for all road users and to manage the flow of vehicular traffic in the vicinity which may be adversely affected by a significant increase of traffic entering & exiting car parks on Water Road during the Covid 19 vaccination programme to be carried out at the Barrhead Foundry.
The restriction will come into operation on 1 February 2021 and will remain in effect for a long as necessary upto a maximum of 18 months, as permitted by legislation. Pedestrian access will be unaffected.
