BALGRAYSTONE ROAD, BARRHEAD
(STOPPING UP) ORDER 20[**]

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the East Renfrewshire Council propose to make an order under section 68(1)(b) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 stopping up the section of road described in the Schedule hereto.

The title of the order is The East Renfrewshire Council, Balgraystone Road, Barrhead (Stopping Up) Order 20[**]

A copy of the proposed Order and accompanying plan showing the section of road to be stopped up, together with a statement of reasons for making the Order are attached. 

Any person wishing to object to this proposal may do so, by 24 January 2021, by writing to the Chief Officer (Legal and Procurement), East Renfrewshire Council Headquarters, Rouken Glen Road, Giffnock, Glasgow G46 6UG or by email to roads@eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk.  Objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made.

SCHEDULE

PART I

ROAD TO BE STOPPED UP

That section of Balgraystone Road, Barrhead from its junction with Springfield Road southwards for a distance of 250 metres or thereby shown by zebra hatching on the plan to the Order.

PART II

ALTERNATVE ROAD

A new section or Balgraystone Road has been constructed adjacent to the section of road to be stopped up and shown by thin diagonal hatching on the said plan.
