NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT The East Renfrewshire Council propose to make an Order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will reduce the current speed limit of 60mph over the following section of the C9 Aurs Road:

Proposed 30mph Speed Limit:
C9 Aurs Road: - between its junction with Springfield Road Barrhead and a point 150 metres or thereby northwest of the northern most access lane to Scottish Waters Ryat Lynn Reservoir, a distance of approximately 910 metres.

Proposed 40mph Speed Limit:
C9 Aurs Road: - between a point 150 metres or thereby northwest of the northern most access lane to Scottish Waters Ryat Lynn Reservoir and the existing 40mph speed limit, approximately 25 metres northwest of its junction with the B769 Stewarton Road, a distance of approximately 1,170 metres.

The order will make it an offence for any person to drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding the proposed limits on the above sections of road.

A copy of the draft Order, plans and a statement of reason for making the Order, which form the proposed ‘The East Renfrewshire Council, (C9 Aurs Road, Barrhead to Newton Mearns) (30mph & 40mph Speed Limits) Order 20[**]’, are available for inspection at the following locations during business hours (except on public or local holidays):
