(Temporary Restriction to Use of Road)
On the 24 January 2019 East Renfrewshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991. The Order came into effect on 17 February 2019, and remains valid for a maximum period of 18 months until 17 August 2020, as prescribed by legislation.
In order to facilitate the safe working of ground investigation drilling works which are now required on or near Aurs Road, Barrhead, the road will be closed to vehicular traffic between its junctions with Stewarton Road and Springfield Road for up to 4 weeks from Tuesday 9th July until Monday 5th August 2019.
Due to temporary scaffolding which will be erected on/across the road to facilitate the works, the road will not be accessible for any through traffic, including emergency service vehicles.
Vehicular access to property within the extents of the closure may be permitted by the contractor on site when possible to do so in conjunction with the works going on at the time.
Pedestrian access will be maintained.
