(Temporary Restriction to Use of Road)
(Play Streets) Order 2018
On the 18 July 2018 the Council made the above named Order under, Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to facilitate and improve safety during times when the above road will be closed for the purpose of being used as a children’s playground.
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily close the road to vehicular through traffic for the purpose of enabling the road to be used as a playground for children. Vehicular through traffic will be prohibited from entering or proceeding in Southpark Avenue between Nos 2 and 47 Southpark Avenue on Saturday 4 August from 13:00hrs until 16:00hrs.
The Order will not apply to any vehicle requiring access to a property within the closed section of road providing that vehicle is travelling at a speed of no more than 5 m.p.h. and is supervised by an adult in high visibility clothing.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
