THE EAST RENFREWSHIRE COUNCIL

(OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2017

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT on 5 April 2017in exercise of the powers conferred on them by Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), Section 32 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and of all other enabling powers the East Renfrewshire Council made, in part, the East Renfrewshire Council (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2017 which comes into operation on 19 May 2017.

The effect of the Order is as described in the Notice published in The Glasgow South and Eastwood Extra newspaper dated 10 November 2016 and the Barrhead News dated 9 November 2016 and will be to apply to the controlling regulations in all car parks listed save that the Order does not include any provision relating to the introduction of charges.

A copy of the Order as made and accompanying plans are available for inspection on the East Renfrewshire Council’s website, www.eastrenfrewshire.gov.uk/parking, and at the following locations and times (except on public or local holidays):

ANY PERSON wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the Court of Session.
