LENNOX ROAD, HADDINGTON - CARRIAGEWAY RESURFACING - East Lothian

It is the Councils intention to undertake carriageway resurfacing works on Lennox Road from Whittinghame Drive to Lammermuir Crescent. The works are programmed to commence Monday 20^th November for 3 weeks, weather permitting.

In order to comply with current health and safety legislation, it will be necessary to close the road to vehicular traffic and restrict parking during workings hours (normally 8.30am to 4pm). Vehicular access will be maintained out with working hours and at weekends. To minimise disruption the works will be undertaken in phases as shown on the attached plan. 

Pedestrian access and emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times. Refuse and recycling bins will be emptied as normal, however please ensure your bins or boxes are out for 6am on collection days.

For their own safety pedestrians should not enter the works area. Please note that during the resurfacing works the existing surface will be sprayed with a black bituminous emulsion which becomes very sticky. Please be aware (and make other family members aware) that this material should be avoided as it will readily stick to soles of footwear, bicycle tyres, pet’s paws, etc and is difficult to remove.

The 101 Bus Service will turn at the bus stop / car park on Lynn Lea Avenue and go back along the street and then down Whittinghame Drive towards the Town Centre.
