B6355 Duns Road, Gifford – Carriageway Resurfacing - East Lothian

It is the Councils intention to undertake carriageway resurfacing works on Duns Road, Gifford.

A location plan highlighting the affected areas can be found on the reverse of this letter.

The works which will include initial preparatory works to replace gullies and ironwork, in addition to the primary resurfacing element, are now programmed to commence on Monday 25th September, for a duration of 3 weeks, weather permitting.

In order to comply with current health and safety legislation, parking restrictions will be implemented where signs or no waiting cones are in place, from 8.00am to 4:30pm daily, Monday 25th September to Friday 13th October 2023 (excluding weekends).

1. Road closure will also be required on Walden Terrace (highlighted on plan) for a short period week commencing 9th October 2023, to facilitate resurfacing of the junction area. This will be signed accordingly ahead of time, to notify local residents.
