In accordance with the terms of the Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1999 (as amended in 2021), I write to give notice that East Lothian Council has made an Experimental Traffic Regulation Order (THE LOAN [PART] WALLYFORD (EXPERIMENTAL BUS, TAXI AND CYCLE GATE) Redetermination of means of exercise of public right of passage) Order 2022 (ExTRO)

The Road shall become an area with the right of passage being exercisable by local buses, taxis, pedal cycles only.

 

The Order was made on 4 July 2022 and will come into force on 11 July 2022 and prior to its commencement an application can be made to the Court of Session to question the validity of it and its provisions.

The Order will be in operation until 11 January 2024 and may be modified by East Lothian Council in response to feedback for a period of 12 months after 4 July 2022

The Council will consider in due course whether the ExTRO should continue in force indefinitely, and any person may object to the ExTRO being made permanent within a period of six months from 11 July 2022 or the day of any variation or modification under section 10(2) of the 1999 Regulations.

Any objection should be made in writing to legal@eastlothian.gov.uk and must state the ground for objection.

All documents relating to this order will be available for inspection at our offices at John Muir House, Brewery Park, Haddington and online at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk until 6 August 2022
