North Berwick Safer Active Travel – Law Road/Grange Road & Haddington Road/Wishart Avenue/Lochbridge Road - Infrastructure Improvement Works - East Lothian Archived

It is the Councils intention in partnership with Sustrans to undertake infrastructure improvements in the area surrounding Law Primary School and North Berwick High School.

The improvements include installing new traffic signals at Grange Road/Law Road junction, installing a new zebra crossing at Law Primary School, widening footways and installing raised tables on Wishart Avenue, Lochbridge Road & Grange Court. See attached plans for more detail.

The aim is to create a more attractive and safer environment for pedestrians and cyclists and to reduce the overall dependence on the car and the environmental impact of traffic on the school surroundings.

The works are programmed to start week commencing 4^th July for approximately 7 weeks, weather permitting. Temporary traffic management measures will be in place during the works and this will include some road closures and restrictions to on-street parking. Any restrictions will be notified in advance with yellow information signs and no waiting cones.
