It is the council’s intention to construct a new footway on the north side of the C71 between North Elphinstone farm cottages and the junction with the B6414. This work will commence on Monday 23rd August 2021 and will take approximately 4 weeks, weather permitting.
In order to comply with current Health & Safety legislation, it will be necessary to install a traffic and pedestrian management system during the work. No parking will be permitted on the affected section. Pedestrian access to your property will be maintained at all times and vehicular access will be retained where practicable.
