East Lothian Council recently advertised the intent to make the above Order under 82(2), 83(2) and 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to revoke a 40mph speed restriction on A198 Dirleton Road, North Berwick and replace it with a 30mph speed limit with an increased distance of approximately 200 metres or thereby
The period for lodging any comments / objections expired on Friday 6th October 2017.
No objections were received to the proposal and accordingly the Council have confirmed the Order and it will come into force on Monday 30th October 2017
A copy of the Order together with a map showing the road affected, a statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order and copies of all relevant documents are available on the council’s website at www.eastlothian.gov.uk and on www.tellmescotland.gov.uk
Any person may question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant enabling Act or that a requirement of the Act or relevant regulations have not been complied with, by making application to the Court of Session within 6 weeks of the order being made
