East Lothian Council will be undertaking carriageway resurfacing works starting on Monday 16th October 2017 for approximately 1 week, weather permitting.
In order to comply with current Health & Safety legislation, it will be necessary to close the road to through vehicular traffic and suspend parking between 8.30am and 4pm each day.
Emergency vehicle access and pedestrian access will be maintained.
Refuse and recycling bins will be emptied as normal, however please ensure bins or boxes are out for 7am on collection days.
For their own safety, pedestrians should not enter the works area (within the carriageway) during the works. Please note that before the final surface layer is laid, the existing surface will be sprayed with a black bituminous emulsion, which becomes sticky. Please be aware (and make other family members aware) that this material should be avoided as it will stick to soles of footwear, bicycle tyres, pet’s paws, etc. and is difficult to remove.
