East Lothian Council, Transportation and the Chief Constable of Lothian and Borders Police have approved the closure of Pinkie Road, Musselburgh to facilitate the resurfacing / reconstruction works to the carriageway from Grove Street to Newbigging.
The works are planned to start on Monday 19th March and will last until 20th April 2012.
The road will be closed for this time and a signed diversion route will be in place.
Those residents directly affected by the works will be notified in advance and advised of the most suitable access to their properties.
Emergency access will be affected however Fire, Ambulance and Police have been notified
Bus companies have also been notified of the closures and alternative arrangements will be in place
