(STATION ROAD, BEARSDEN)

(TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND TEMPORARY NO WAITING AT ANY TIME RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2022

On the 8 September 2022 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person to:-

  1. drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when its safe and practical to do so) on Station Road, Bearsden, between its junction with Pendicle Road and the vehicular access to the car park at Colquhoun Park football pitches, by reason of works being executed on or near this road; and
  2. cause or permit any motor vehicle to wait at any time on either side of Station Road, Bearsden between its junction with Pendicle Road and the south face of the bridge structure which supports the Glasgow to Milngavie railway line, by reason of works being executed on or near this road.

This Order will operate from 06.00 hours on Monday, 19 September until 18.00 hours on Friday 7 October 2022.

Alternative Route

Alternative routes around the closed section of road for vehicles are by way of Station Road, Drymen Road, the A809 Drymen Road, Canniesburn Toll, Canniesburn Road, Bearsden, Kinfauns Drive, Summerhill Road, Pitmilly Road and Drummore Road, Drumchapel, Chesters Road, Thorn Road, Bearsden, and these routes will be sign posted.
