THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL (B757 LENZIE ROAD, TOWNHEAD AND PARLIAMENT ROAD, KIRKINTILLOCH) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2021

On the 30 March 2021 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of emergency service vehicles, vehicles engaged in the works and those vehicles requiring access to properties adjacent to the closed section of road when it is safe and practical) on the lengths of roads detailed in the Schedule, by reason of works being executed on or near this road.

This Order will operate from 06:00 hours on Monday, 12 April and remain in operation until18:00 hours on Sunday, 9 May 2021

SCHEDULE

  1. Townhead, Kirkintilloch - closed between its junctions with Parliament Road and Southbank Road from 06.00 hours on Monday, 12 April until 18.00 hours on Sunday, 25 April 2021.

The alternative routes for vehicles are by way of Parliament Road, the A806 New Lairdsland Road, Catherine Street, Cowgate, and Townhead.

  1. The B757 Lenzie Road and Parliament Road, Kirkintilloch - closed between their respective junctions with Saramago Street and the A806 New Lairdsland Road at Townhead Roundabout from 06.00 hours on Monday, 26 April until 18.00 hours on Sunday, 9 May 2021

The alternative routes for vehicles are by way of the A806 Initiative Road, Kirkintilloch, Woodilee Road, Garngaber Avenue, the B757 Kirkintilloch Road, Lenzie, and the B757 Lenzie Road.
