THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL (BEARSDEN AND BISHOPBRIGGS) (OFF-STREET PARKING AMENDMENT) ORDER 2019

On 20 June 2019 the East Dunbartonshire Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 which comes into operation on Monday, 19 August 2019.

The proposed Order was advertised in the Bishopbriggs Herald that was published on 22 August 2018 and in the Milngavie & Bearsden Herald which was published on 24 August 2018. The main effect of the Order would be the introduction of parking charges within a car park in Bearsden and a car park in Bishopbriggs as detailed in Schedule 1 below, between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:30 pm, Monday to Saturday inclusive.

A copy of the Order and plans detailing the lengths of road affected may be examined during normal office hours and without payment of fee at the offices of:-

    and also at following Community Hubs during their normal opening hours

  3. Bearsden Community Hub, 69 Drymen Road, Bearsden, G61 3QT;

  4. Westerton Library, 82 Maxwell Avenue, Bearsden, G61 1NZ;

  5. Bishopbriggs Community Hub, 170 Kirkintilloch Road, Bishopbriggs, G64 2LX.

    Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provision therein on grounds that the Order is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any relevant Regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks from 20 June 2019 make application to the Court of Session for this purpose.
