THE EAST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL (MAIN STREET, TWECHAR)
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2019
On the 19 March 2019 the East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of those vehicles engaged in works) on Main Street, Twechar, between its junctions with the B8023 Shirva Road and Glen Shirva Road, by reason of works being executed on or near this road.
This Order will operate from 20:00 hours each evening until 06:00 hours the following morning and shall commence from 20:00 hours on Monday 1 April until 06:00 hours on Monday 15 April 2019.
Alternative Route
Alternative routes for vehicles are by way of Main Street and Twechar Road in Twechar, the B8048 Kirkintilloch Road, Auchinstarry Road/Howe Road, the B8023 Shirva Road, Gavell Road, the A803 Kilsyth Road and Glasgow Road, the A806 New Lairdsland Road, and the B8048 Waterside Road in Kirkintilloch.
A temporary footbridge for pedestrians will be provided over the Forth and Clyde canal during the temporary road closure.
