(UNION STREET, KIRKINTILLOCH)
(TEMPORARY CLOSURE AMENDMENT) ORDER 2016
On the 17 May 2016 The East Dunbartonshire Council made the above named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged in the works and Holy Family school transport vehicles) on a section of Union Street, Kirkintilloch, between its junctions with York Place and Peel Brae (the lane adjacent to Kirkintilloch Town Hall and Regent Gardens Surgery), Kirkintilloch, by reason of works being executed on or near these roads. The school transport vehicles shall be permitted through the closed section of road under the guidance of works personnel.
This Order will operate between 06.00 hours on Monday, 23 May 2016 until 18:00 hours on Sunday, 15 October 2017.
Alternative Routes
The alternative routes for vehicles are by way of Union Street, Washington Road, the A803 Glasgow Road, West High Street, Cowgate, Kerr Street and Oxford Street, Kirkintilloch, and these routes will be sign posted.
