Notice of Publication of the East Dunbartonshire Proposed Local Development Plan 2 and Environmental Report

In accordance with the above regulations, notice is given that the Council formally published the East Dunbartonshire Proposed Local Development Plan 2 (The ‘Proposed Plan’) and supporting documents on 19 October 2020 for public consultation. The Proposed Plan is the Council’s settled view on the land use strategy for East Dunbartonshire.

The Proposed Plan has been the subject of the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) process. This is a systematic process for considering the likely significant environmental impacts of the options and proposals. The findings of the SEA are set out within the corresponding Environmental Report. It is a legislative requirement to prepare this report in accordance with Section 14 of the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005.

The Proposed Plan, along with the corresponding SEA Environmental Report, can be viewed online at https://www.eastdunbarton.gov.uk/LDP2. The above link also includes details of how to submit comments. Due to the restrictions in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a hard copy of these documents will be available to borrow in the following libraries as part of the Connect and Collect service:
