NOTICE is hereby given under Section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 as amended, and of all other enabling powers which will prohibit waiting and banned right turn  on the following lengths of road to allow  Scottish Water Iron Work Repairs

Name & affected length of road – Old Street,Academy Street Kilmarnock 

No waiting restriction on Old Street for 15 meters from opposite number 19 to Willock Street.

 No waiting restriction on Old Street for 35 meters from Academy Street junction to opposite number 11

 No waiting restriction on Old Street for 65 meters from number 19 to Academy Street

 No waiting restriction on Academy Street for 30 meters both sides of the road from Old Street junction to number 4

No waiting restriction on Old Street for 30 meters both sides of road from Academy Street junction to number 2

Banned right turn onto Old Street from Academy Street.

Nature and period of restriction - Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time and Banned Right Turn 

This Notice commences on 08 January 2024 and has a maximum duration of 5 days or until the works are completed, whichever is sooner. The works are expected to commence from 08 January 2024 at 07:00 with the restrictions remaining in place until 08 January 2024 at 19:00.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Notice will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.

Diversion via - Old Street > Campbell Street > Willock Street > End
