Emergency Notice 2023
NOTICE is hereby given under Section 14(2)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act 1991 as amended, and of all other enabling powers, that the following restrictions be introduced with immediate effect:–
Name & affected length of road – , Old Street , Kilmarnock - Town Centre,
No waiting restriction on Old Street for 35 meters from New Street junction to the graveyard
No waiting restriction on Old Street for 95 meters from opposite number 15 to the graveyard
No waiting restriction on New Street for 45 meters both sides of the road from Old Street junction to number 2
No waiting restriction on Old Street for 45 meters from New Street junction to number 15,
Reason for restriction – Scottish Water Emergency Ironworks Repairs
Nature and period of restriction – The Notice is valid for a period of up to 21 days from the date below unless a further notice is issued under Section 15(8)(b)(ii) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the restrictions will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed. Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained.
