(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023
On 24th October 2023 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, to allow Scottish Power Works
Temporary Road Closure – Bank Street, Kilmarnock - Town Centre,
Bank Street - Closed from subway to Bank Place.
The Order commences on 08 November 2023 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 08 November 2023 at 07:00 until 17 November 2023 at 23:59
The road is expected to be closed between 07:00 and 23:59 each day with it being open out-with these times.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers will only be permited when safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throught the closure period
An alternative route will be signed via Sandbed Street - St Marnocks Street - John Finnie Street - West George Street - East George Street - Green Street - Sturrock Street - Fowlds Street - St Marnocks Street - Bank Place
