On 9th May 2023 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above named
Order, SGN Utility Works
Temporary Road Closure – Braeside Street, Kilmarnock, Town Centre, 100m from junction with
London Road.
The Order commences on 17 May 2023 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the
works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 11 September
2023 at 08:00 with the closure remaining in place until 29 September 2023 at 18:00
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will
be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Due to the nature of these works Emergency and Local access will be via diversion route
An alternative route will be signed via Diversion will be via London Road, Sturrock Street, Old Mill
Road, Dick Road, Rennie Street, Braeside Street.
