(Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023
On 29th August 2023 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, for Ayrshire Roads Alliance to carry out bridge repair works
Temporary Road Closure – U749 Old Sorn Bridge , Sorn, 40m.
The Order commences on 18 September 2023 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 18 September 2023 at 09:00 with the closure remaining in place until 27 November 2023 at 16:00.
The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will be affected and access will be via diversion route only, access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained.
An alternative route will be signed via B743 to B713, onto U749 to end (Old Bridge) Vice Versa.
