East Ayrshire Council (Various Roads within, East Ayrshire) (Temporary Speed Limit) Notice 2022 - East Ayrshire

On 20th December 2022 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section
14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers,
made the above-named Order, which imposes a variable speed limit on the lengths of roads listed
below. The speed limit will only come into effect when speed limit signs denoting the reduced
speed limit in accordance with Diagram 670 of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General
Directions 2016, as amended, are displayed on the affected length of road, on the grounds of
works being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road.

No person shall drive a motor vehicle on any affected length of road at a speed exceeding that
denoted by the temporary speed limit signs displayed in accordance with Diagram 670.
The Order commences from 03 January 2023 at 01:00 and will remain in operation until 02 July
2024 at 23:59.

Order will be implemented only at times when indicated by the display of appropriate speed limit
signs in accordance with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016, as amended.
