(Temporary Road Closures, Prohibition of Waiting & Suspended Waiting Restrictions ) Order 2023
On 11th April 2023 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and the Road Traffic Act1991 and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order to facilitate the holding of Mauchline Holy Fair
Road Closure – Castle Street, Cowgate & Loudoun Street Car Park .
No Waiting At Any Time – High Street - B743 From A76 Trunk Road to Mansefield Road - Both Sides
Loudoun Street - B743 from A76 Trunk Rd to 20mtrs south of Barskimming Road
Cowgate - Full Length - Both Sides
Castle Street - Full Length - Both Sides
Loudoun Street - Car Park
The Order commences on 27 May 2023 and has a maximum duration of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is earlier. The works are expected to commence from 27 May 2023 at 00:00 until 27 May 2023 at 23:59.
The Order restrictions will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed.
Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained.
An alternative route is Castle Street - Closed from A76 Junction - proceed north to next junction of Knowe, diversion end ( Note one way Street) Cowgate - Closed from A76,proceed north to junction of Loudoun Street and Turn Left - Diversion Ends
