(Temporary Road Closure) Notice 2022

NOTICE is hereby given under Section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers which will close the following lengths of road to facilitate Rail Bridge Safety Inspection  

Name of road - Hill Street , West George Street to Hill Street . 

Nature and period of restriction - Road closure

This Notice commences on 13 January 2023 and has a maximum duration of 5 days or until the works are completed, whichever is sooner. The works are expected to commence from 13 January 2023 at 22:00 until 14 January 2023 at 06:00.

The days and times of the works may be dependent upon the weather conditions but the Order will be implemented only when the appropriate signs are displayed. Emergency Services access will not be affected and access for residents, deliveries and pedestrians’ out-with the working zone will be maintained.

Alternative route - Divert traffic along Portland Street to avoid the bridge on Hill Street .
