On 13/09/22 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012, and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, by reason of clearing blockages on footway to be executed on or near the road.
Temporary road closure
This Order makes it unlawful:
1. for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Polquheys Rd (from the junction with the A76, to the junction with Lochview), New Cumnock between 8.00am and 5.00pm. Starting at 08:00 hrs on 16/09/22 until 17:00 hrs on 26/09/22.
Diversion is via A76 - Lochview - and vice versa
Temporary waiting restrictions
This Order makes it unlawful:
2. for any vehicle to wait on either side of Polquheys Rd (from the junction with the A76, to the junction with Lochview), New Cumnock, starting at 08:00 hrs on 16/09/22 until 17:00 hrs on 26/09/22.
Exempt from road closures – Site works vehicles, emergency vehicles or vehicles requiring access to properties within the closed road. Exempt from waiting restriction – vehicles used in connection with the works and emergency vehicles.
The Order shall come into force at 08:00 hrs on 16/09/22 until 17:00 hrs on 26/09/22, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
