EAST AYRSHIRE COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS WITHIN EAST AYRSHIRE) (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS AND DESIGNATED PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2022 - East Ayrshire Archived

NOTICE OF MAKING

NOTICE is hereby given that on 06/09/22 the Council made the above-named Order in terms of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012 and of all other enabling powers.

The Order which comes into operation on 01/11/22 was advertised in the Kilmarnock Standard and the Cumnock Chronicle on 20/10/21, the effect of the Order is as stated in said notices but for the following exceptions as stated below;

Abandoned Restrictions

Proposals to extend the period of charging within Kilmarnock Town Centre from 9am-5pm to 9am -6pm

Proposals to alter the extents of Zone A Pay and Display in Kilmarnock Town Centre (this affected existing Zone B parking places on Dunlop Street, Grange Place, Grange Street, John Dickie Street and Nelson Street in Kilmarnock)

Proposals to create additional lengths of Zone B Pay and Display in Kilmarnock Town Centre (this affected Old Irvine Road, Park Street, and Seaford Street, Kilmarnock)

Proposals to introduce at any time waiting and loading restrictions on Station Road, Galston near the junction with Duke Street

Proposals to introduce waiting restrictions on Catherine Place, Kilmaurs, Harriet Road, Kilmarnock and Townholm St, Kilmarnock

Modifications (that are less stringent than those proposed)

Tannock Street – south side – the proposed extension to the existing prohibition of waiting and loading has been reduced from 66m to 22m

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order may, within six weeks from 06/09/22 apply to the Court of Session for this purpose.
