On 02/08/22 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on U1 Galston Moor, Newmilns, from U56 Meikle Carleith eastwards for approximately 500 metres (covering Muirhead, Eastfield, Kieland and the access to Greenfield) (except vehicles engaged on the BT works), by reason of works to be executed on or near the road.
The Order shall come into force at 08:00 hrs on 17/08/22 until 19:00 hrs on 30/08/22, or until the works are completed whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
Vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closure will be permitted to and from their properties.
Emergency access will be maintained at all times during the road closures.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
Alternative Route: via C104 Sornhill, C104 Windyhill, Brown Street, A71 Newmilns -Priestland, U1 Galston Moor and vice versa.
