East Ayrshire Council (A713 Hollybush, Polnessan and Patna) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2022

On 26/07/22 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, which will make it unlawful for

1. any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle (inc pedal cycles) on A713 Hollybush between C21 Craigs Road and B730 to Drongan
2. any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle (inc pedal cycles) on A713 Polnessan between B730 to Drongan and C11 to Kirkmichael

from 08:00 on Saturdays to 18:00 on Sundays from Saturday 30 July to Sunday 30 September by reason of works to be executed on or near the road.

The Order shall come into force at 08:00 hrs on 30/07/22 until 18:00 hrs on 30/09/22, or until the works are completed.  Works are planned to be completed by 4/9/22 and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.

Vehicular access for residents/owners/occupiers within the closure will be permitted to and from their properties.

Emergency access will be maintained at all times during the road closures.

Bus routes are affected by the closures and passengers should contact SPT for further information.

As long as it remains safe and reasonable to do so, access through the works via Convey will operate daily between 12-1pm

As long as it remains safe and reasonable to do so, the road will be opened overnight from approximately 1800 Saturdays to 0800 Sunday

Closures 1 and 2 will be implemented consecutively NOT simultaneously. 

Alternative Routes:

For closure 1 Vehicles will be directed via A713 through Hollybush, B742 to Coylton, A70 to Coalhall, B730, B7046 to Mote Toll, A70 to Dettingen roundabout, Cumnock, A76 to New Cumnock, B741 to Dalmellington, Gateside Rd, Broomknowe, Gateside Rd and vice versa.  See diversion route plan for more details including an alternative route for low vehicles.

For Closure 2 Vehicles will be directed via A713 through Hollybush, B742 to Coylton, A70 to Coalhall, B730 through Drongan to re-join A713 and vice versa See diversion route plan for more details.
