(Kay Park Crescent, Grassyards Rd, South Dean Rd and Strawberrybank Rd, Kilmarnock) (Kay Park Play Day) (Temporary Closure and Prohibition of Waiting) Order 2022
On 19/07/22 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (East Ayrshire Council) Designation Order 2012, and the Road Traffic Act 1991, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order, by reason of Kay Park Play Day to be executed on or near the roads.
This Order makes it unlawful-
1. for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Kay Park Crescent between the East/West leg of Kay Park Crescent (access road to Grassyards Road) and Strawberrybank Road: Diversion via Strawberrybank Road, Grassyards Road and vice versa.
2. for any vehicle to wait on either side of the following roads in Kilmarnock; Grassyards Road (between Cemetery House and Willowbank School); South Dean Road (between Strawberrybank Road and Leslie Road) and Strawberrybank Road (from a point 50m west of South Dean Road southeastwards Grassyards Road)
Exempt from road closures and waiting restrictions – vehicles associated with the operation of the Play Day and emergency vehicles.
The Order shall come into force at 07:00 hrs on 03/08/22 until 18:00 hrs on 03/08/22, or until the Play Day has concluded whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
